The Weinstein Company has just unveiled the first theatrical trailer for the upcoming documentary investigating the life of the notoriously reclusive author J.D. Salinger. Shane Salerno directed the film, who most recently co-wrote and executive produced Oliver Stone's SAVAGES. Salerno also produced the documentary along with Buddy Squires and Deborah Randall. Gore Vidal, the writer recognized as one of the foremost authors and essayists of the last several decades, passed away yesterday at 86 years old. Vidal is currently represented on Broadway by the star-studded revival of THE BEST MAN, which began a limited run on April 1, was twice extended, and will close on September 9.
