Tune, Feinstein and Cook To Appear At Kravis Center In 2009-2010 Season

Tommy Tune, Michael Feinstein and Barbara Cook will be among the featured artists who will be appearing at the Kravis Center during the 2009-2010 season.
Previously announced performers at the venue for the upcoming season include: Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Newhart, Tony Bennett, Chris Botti, Bill Cosby, Gladys Knight, Johnny Mathis, Salvatore Licitra, and pianist Lang Lang. The Kravis Center will additionally present its On Broadway series, which launches with the touring production of Grease starring former American Idol Taylor Hicks from November 10-15. Following this, the Center will run the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific from January 5-10, A Chorus Line directed by original director Bob Avian from February 2-7, Jersey Boys from March 10-28, and lastly the tour of Burn the Floor from May 4-9.

The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, located in West Palm Beach, Florida, is one of the premier performing arts centers in the Southeast with a growing national and international reputation. Fall 2008 marks the Center's 17th Anniversary season and the number of events hosted annually has grown to more than 800, with attendance of more than 500,000 patrons. Many regionally based arts organizations call the Kravis Center their home including Ballet Florida, Miami City Ballet, Palm Beach Opera, and the Palm Beach Pops. During the 2008-2009 season, the Kravis Center itself will present more than 350 performances featuring acclaimed artists from every discipline. Established as a leading force in the social fabric of the community, its many outreach programs are as broad and varied as the community itself. To date, the Center has opened the door to the performing arts for more than 1.1 million school children as well as thousands of economically disadvantaged senior citizens, minorities and community groups.

Detroit Engagement of JERSEY BOYS Sets Box Office Record
The Detroit engagement of JERSEY BOYS set a new box office record at the Fisher Theatre for the week ending Sunday, December 27. The show grossed $1,251,618.00, breaking the previous record of $1,225,511 held by Spamalot in December 2006.
