L-Dub Film Festival Premieres At Lake Worth Playhouse

SJFSKLFJSDLF_20010101

FIRST ANNUAL L-DUB FILM FESTIVAL PREMIERES AT
LAKE WORTH PLAYHOUSE SEPTEMBER 17-19

Films Announced and Tickets Now on Sale

The Lake Worth Playhouse and Florida filmmaker Steev Brown are proud to announce the line-up for Lake Worth's first annual film festival September 17-19, 2010. The L-Dub Film Festival will take place at The Playhouse Stonzek Studio Theatre and will include more than 50 films of all genres.

"Dozens of film makers from South Florida and nationwide submitted films for our festival, " said Tracy Holstein, The Playhouse Stonzek Studio Theatre Manager and L-Dub Film Festival Director. "We're thrilled to offer a diverse line-up of films ranging from award-winning documentaries to brand new feature film premieres."

The festival will include film screenings as well as seminars with industry professionals and interactive demonstrations. Highlights include the world premiere of Lumiere Fantome, a film inspired by the legendary brothers who first inhabited the Lake Worth Playhouse; and Turkles: How-To, a behind-the-scenes look at Frank Eberling's up-and-coming film that's billed as "an environmental mystery-comedy" about a group of science geeks in search of a loggerhead egg thief.

The festival includes a closing awards ceremony, during which Best Feature, Best Short and Best Documentary awards will be presented. All films entered in the festival are eligible for awards. In addition, special awards will be given to winning entrants in the L-Dub Film Adventure, a film competition in which film-making teams wrote, directed and produced a ten-minute short in one week's time according to L-Dub Film Festival criteria.
