DIVAS UNDER GLASS
A CABARET FEAST FOR THE SENSES

Florida Stage, now in residence at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, is celebrating leading ladies of the theatre with a gala fundraising event. The evening includes cocktails at sunset, followed by a showcase of South Florida's finest musical talent and culinary delights. Dubbed Divas Under Glass: A Cabaret Feast for the Senses, the event will be held at West Palm Beach's new Lake Pavilion, the beautiful glass structure on Flagler Drive's Waterfront Promenade on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, starting at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $300 per person and include cocktails, a dinner "by the bite" and a dessert buffet. Proceeds will benefit Florida Stage. Dress is "glamorous casual." Tickets and information are available through Florida Stage by calling (561) 515-6350.  WWW.FLORIDASTAGE.ORG.

Divas Under Glass will also serve as a tribute to three women who are ardent supporters of Florida Stage: Honorary Chairs Leona Chanin, Sydelle Meyer and Lee Wolf. The evening's entertainment will be focused on great women of theatre, and will include a display of lavish costumes from theatre history and songs made famous by leading ladies of stage and screen, sung by some of South Florida's favorite divas.

The event is being designed by Renny Reynolds, founder of Design for Entertaining, the New York City-based party-design firm that has been featured in House and Garden, Bon Appétit, House Beautiful, and other publications. He is co-author, along with Elaine Louie, of The Art of the Party: Design Ideas for Successful Entertaining.

Chairs for the Divas Under Glass event are Gail Boyan of Frenchmen's Creek, Renny Reynolds of Manalapan, Lora Schultz of Wellington, Jack Staub of Manalapan and Carol Anne Stiglmeier of Palm Beach.
