Critically acclaimed Jack Goes Boating by Bob Glaudini
simmers on New Theatre's stage

New Theatre's (THE NEW) 25th Anniversary continues with the Southeastern Premiere of the critically acclaimed Broadway play, Jack Goes Boating (October 8 - 24, 2010) by Bob Glaudini after its successful New York City production directed and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman. Laced with cooking classes, swimming lessons and a smorgasbord of illegal drugs, Jack Goes Boating is a touching and warmhearted play about learning how to stay afloat in the deep water of day-to-day living where date panic, marital meltdown, betrayal, and the prevailing grace of the human spirit abound.

Jack Goes Boating is directed by THE NEW's Artistic Director, Ricky J. Martinez and Assistant Director, Steven Chambers (THE NEW's Literary Manager.) The ensemble cast includes THE NEW veterans Clint Hooper, Beatriz Montañez, Aubrey Shavonn and Christopher Vicchiollo. Returning to THE NEW is Production Stage Manager Vanessa L. Thompson, Set Designer: Jesus Casimiro; Costume Designer K. Blair Brown, Sound Designer Ozzie Quintana and making his New Theatre debut, Lighting Designer Thomas Aratanha Fonseca.
