Scoring a major coup for South Florida theater-goers, “War Horse,” a powerfully moving drama that won five (5) 2011 Tony Awards and is currently running on Broadway and in London’s West End, will mark the grand finale of the 6-Show 2012-2013 Broadway Across America-Fort Lauderdale subscription series presented by Florida Theatrical Association in association with the Broward Center of the Performing Arts and in partnership with Bank of America.

Launching the season on November 6 will be “Million Dollar Quartet,’ the musical look back at a day in musical history when four soon-to be icons, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins met in a studio and began to record the songs that made them forever famous.
Followed on December 18 by “Sister Act,” the still running on Broadway musical version of the much loved and wacky film hit, the mood changes to old-fashioned mystery on January 15 when Agatha Christie’s “BBC Murders” moves into the Parker Playhouse. The first national tour of “Flashdance,” a new production based on the dynamic film that made dance history will start March 5, with “The Addams Family,” the funny musical ode to the dysfunctional opening on April 9.

“War Horse,” the extraordinary production based on the book by Michael Morpurgo will wind up the varied and high-powered 21st theatrical season.
To satisfy the ever-loving devotees, “Wicked” starts on January 30 as a season “special”.
