BRIFT Students Honored at WOMEN IN THE ARTS MIAMI

The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) recent announced that several of their current students and graduates had been honored with awards at the Women in the Arts Miami (WITAM) gala held September 24th at the Club Privet at The Gulfstream Race Track in Hallandale.

Among those nominated were Adele Zin and Andrea Conte in the Achievement in Theatre/Actress category. The award went to Andrea Conte, a graduate of Burt Reynolds’ Master Class. Zin is a current student honing her skills under the eagle eye of Burt Reynolds. Also nominated were Master Class graduate Amy Hoerler and Master Class student Aniela McGuinness, who both won in the Achievement Awards/Actress category.

Additionally, both Jordan Alfonzo and Todd Vittum were nominated in the Producer of the Year category, with Alfonzo taking home the trophy. Jordan Alfonzo is 12 years old and is a student in Todd Vittum’s Improv for Young Actors and Scene Study for Young Actors classes at The Burt Reynolds Institute. Nominated in the Full Length Movie of the Year category was Octavian Onuc, another of Burt Reynolds’ talented graduates. Onuc was nominated for his film, Unforgotten, which was produced by Todd Vittum.

Women in the Arts Miami pays well-deserved recognition to the many talented actors who call Florida home. WITAM is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting those working in the fields of visual arts, media, music, theater, dance, as well as the filmmaking, poetry and literature. This is the third year the Organization has honored local talent.

The Burt Reynolds Institute is a 501(c)3 organization that is committed to educating and involving the community and artists in all aspects of film, television and theatre. Classes for adults and children in acting, improvisation, film making and scriptwriting are offered all year. The Institute is located at 304 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida.
