Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts Sets 2012-2013 Box Office Opening for 9/7 & 8

The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County marks its 2012-2013 Box Office Opening on September 7 and 8 with more than 40 new shows on sale to the public for the first time, including Les Miserables, Flamenco Festival Miami, Boston Pops, Savion Glover and more! The event-filled weekend also marks the launch of the Center's new interactive Choose-Your-Own-Seat Program, which allows website users to view and select from available seats in the price points and location of their preference.

Friday, September 7, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – FREE!
The Arsht Center will host an art-inspired version of its popular "Food Truck Friday" lunchtime event highlighting the 2012-2013 Broadway in Miami Season*, which kicks off with the worldwide party musical Rock of Ages. Everyone is invited to help the Arsht Center break the Guinness World Record for the largest Air Guitar ensemble. Plus, guests can enjoy lunch from a variety of "Burger Beast Approved" gourmet food trucks including The Rolling Stove and Ms. Cheezious as well as a live rock 'n' roll installation, games, music and giveaways.

In addition, all "Food Truck Friday" guests will have access to purchase tickets that day (with no fees) for the Center's spectacular 2012-2013 lineup of hit shows before they go on sale to the general public.

"Food Truck Friday" takes place on 14th Street between Biscayne Boulevard and North Bayshore Drive, directly in front of the Knight Concert Hall. Admission, entertainment and participation in the Air Guitar event is free. Food is available for purchase. Parking: $3 in Lot C.

Saturday, September 8, Beginning at Noon
The general public will have the first opportunity to buy tickets by phone and online for dozens of performances, including Broadway sensations Priscilla, Queen of the Dessert and Mary Poppins, hip-hop star Talib Kweli, the renowned Ballet Nacional de Andalucia, Zach Braff's All New People, and much more!

The first 100 guests at the Arsht Center Box Office on September 8 receive a free sample from Sugar Yummy Mama Food Truck with ticket purchase. (Purchase must be made in person)
