TOP COMEDIC TALENT FROM AROUND THE WORLD FEATURED AT
THE 2009 MIAMI IMPROV FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY JUST THE FUNNY

The 2009 Miami Improv Festival (MIF 2009) presented by Just The Funny, a weekend festival featuring improv and sketch comedy from around the world, continues to supply the laughs for it's July weekend installment on Friday, July 17, and keeps the fun rolling through Sunday, July 19, 2009, at the Just The Funny Theater & Training Center located at 3119 Coral Way.  MIF's 7th anniversary edition boasts the top improv and sketch comedy acts from around the world, performing shows and teaching workshops at the festival, adding to previous editions of what is Miami's premiere comedy event, and one of the world's top improv festivals.

The 2009 Miami Improv Festival presented by Just The Funny features headliner, The Nuclear Family, the hit 3 man/woman improvised musical from New York City.  The trio is famous for their over-the-top singing and dancing in the hysterical improvised story of a family that is anything but normal.

The producers of the Miami Improv Festival invited The Nuclear Family to perform as the weekend's headliner because of their wild and always crazy plots mixed with the incredible singing, dancing and acting talents of John Gregorio, Stephen Guarino, and Jimmy Ray Bennett.  Executive Producer, David Christopher explains, "It is a tremendous treat to have a group as funny and talented as The Nuclear Family here at the Miami Improv Festival.  After their breakout performance at the Miami Improv Festival in 2003 we have eagerly been trying to get their great show back to South Florida.  These guys are hysterical, and it won't be long before one, two or all three of them end up on a show like Saturday Night Live, so see them now here in Miami, while you can!"

South Florida locals will recognize Miami's own mainstay of improv comedy, Just The Funny, which will be performing in addition to The Nuclear Family with its own award-winning, popular brand of improv comedy.

MIF 2009 also offers the public a rare chance to get in on the improv action with an incredible set of master classes taught by John Gregorio from The Nuclear Family, where students can learn how to do improv from one the nation's best in the business.  Classes will be offered during the day on both Saturday, July 18, and Sunday, July 19, and include a student performance for students to show off what they have learned.

Tickets to shows and workshops are all available online at: www.miamiimprovfestival.com.
